python-gst-1.0 software package provides GStreamer GObject Introspection overrides for Python, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-gst-1.0
python-gst-1.0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-gst-1.0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-gst-1.0 *
You will get with python-gst-1.0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
